72 saved during SBC disaster relief deployments to Nebraska and Iowa

SINCE late March, 72 people have made professions of faith through the ministry of Southern Baptist disaster relief (DR) volunteers deployed to Nebraska and Iowa following recent flooding in the Midwest.

Arkansas Baptist DR teams arrived in Nebraska March 23 and have worked alongside DR volunteers from 16 other states during the recovery effort, according to abscdisasterrelief.org.

Arkansas Baptists have provided flood recovery and feeding teams, as well as chaplains, assessors and a unified command center during numerous deployments since March 23.

As of May 8 SBC DR teams in Nebraska and Iowa had contributed 4,592 volunteers days and 39,470 work hours as well as sharing 380 Bibles and serving 51,616 meals, according to the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.
